Medium. Well Done.
Entering the world of video creation
I should start by saying Happy New Year- but given it’s near the end of January, that will only serve to remind you that I have been remiss in sending out my newsletter so far in 2022.
There is an excuse.
Not wanting to miss out on a growing trend, I decided to get COVID. Luckily I had been boosted and had zero symptoms, but it did mean a monkey wrench thrown into my plans.
But like all good writers, I turned it into an article After 2 Years In Exile, My First Overseas Trip Went Horribly Wrong.
Lemonade out of lemons, right?
When creators collide
On my extended sojourn to Club COVID, also known as Texas, I received a visit from my cousin Belik. He is also a content creator and a world record holder- and we decided to embark on a project together.
He is a video maker. I’m a writer. Together we are both storytellers. So we decided to unite our superpowers and start Medium. Well Done.
These are four-minute videos dissecting some of my most popular stories on Medium.
They are fun to make, unscripted and unplanned (as you will see), but full of energy and creativity. We hope you’ll enjoy them.
Episode 1- a deep dive into how LinkedIn can work
Episode 2 - a personal story. Also, we upped our game by adding in graphics and remembering to do an introduction.
Sex, there is always sex
I like to include a few of my most popular articles in each update. And every time, it seems like it sex-related.
Two recent articles dived into the data behind sex.
Mum- skip to this section
I feel uncomfortable knowing that my parents read these, so hopefully, they skipped the last section to read more family-oriented writing.
OK- maybe that isn’t the way to go.
Instead, let’s look at the former burger cook who made $1 billion in less than 7 months. He is now on par with Bill Gates for wealth. Not bad.
Mindful and driven
Finally, in what is proving to be an action-packed first email back for 2022, here is a podcast I’d love you to listen to.
I was fortunate enough to be a guest on Mindful and Driven - a podcast hosted by writer, editor, and podcaster (obviously) Amardeep Parmar.
He managed to cut down our 2-hour conversation into 30 minutes of quality discussion. Mainly by him.
Thanks for reading (and also watching and listening). Please feel free to message me if you have any feedback or requests.
